blind freddy .....

In his first detailed remarks since the bombing of a prominent Shiite mosque triggered two days of deadly reprisals & counter-reprisals, the president warned that "the days ahead in Iraq are going to be difficult & exhausting."

"Please", he nearly added "we have a MONOPOLY on bombing your lot to smithereen! So stop it or you'll go...". He would have stopped here, of course, realizing he did not see very well himself anymore...

old straight shooter strikes again .....

‘The White House turned over last week 250 pages of emails from Vice President Dick Cheney’s office. Senior aides had sent the emails in the spring of 2003 related to the leak of covert CIA operative Valerie Plame Wilson, Special Prosecutor Patrick Fitzgerald revealed during a federal court hearing Friday.

The emails are said to be explosive, and may prove that Cheney played an active role in the effort to discredit Plame Wilson’s husband, former Ambassador Joseph Wilson, a vocal critic of the Bush administration’s prewar Iraq intelligence, sources close to the investigation said.

Sources close to the probe said the White House “discovered” the emails two weeks ago and turned them over to Fitzgerald last week. The sources added that the emails could prove that Cheney lied to FBI investigators when he was interviewed about the leak in early 2004. Cheney said that he was unaware of any effort to discredit Wilson or unmask his wife’s undercover status to reporters.’

‘The American Civil Liberties Union has released documents that prove that top Department of Defense officials endorsed interrogation methods at the Guantanamo Bay detention camp that the FBI described as both abusive and illegal.

“We now possess overwhelming evidence that political and military leaders endorsed interrogation methods that violate both domestic and international law,” said Jameel Jaffer, an attorney with the ACLU. “It is entirely unacceptable that no senior official has been held accountable.”’

‘Okay so the UAE was one of only three governments to recognize the Taliban, and the UAE royals have been pals and houseguests of Osama bin Laden, and the gold that was used to finance the 9/11 attack was transfered through Dubai, and the government has a history of giving a nod and a wink to terrorists "traveling" through the country, and two of the 9/11 hijackers were from the UAE, and...

Oh, well, "1984" is fiction no longer. There is no truth in the Bushevik Administration.

There is no history. There is only the twisted government lie of the day.

And it all adds up to betraying the American people.

The Busheviks have made America numb and passive as a result of lying so frequently -- and with such abandon -- that it has become the coin of the realm.

Now, like Jim Jones, they are giving us our cups of arsenic laced Kool-Aid, by paying the financiers and supporters of terrorism to protect us from terrorists.

And shouldn't port protection be a U.S. government role anyway? Why are we outsourcing our national security and billions of dollars to a foreign government, let alone one that plays footsy with Al-Qaeda?

You're not supposed to ask, you know. It might get you a face full of birdshot.’

a pretty lullaby .....

‘In the movie Flamingo Road, Joan Crawford says to her husband "Why don’t you be honest with the people? Why don’t you teach them to run their own state?" David Brian replies "Honey, the honest men get eaten up. There’re too many other men waiting, watching, probing for the soft spots, the graft. No, it’s better to be one of them."

Waiting and watching is a useful strategy. Wait and watch for a flock of ducks to fly over. Wait until the birds are in your line of fire. Wait and watch until stocks reach an appropriate price before buying. A burglar waits and watches until your car or home are unoccupied. The state waits and watches for its chance too.

A burglar hits us once, maybe twice, until we put in alarms, get a dog, leave the radio going, or hire guards. Once the state hits us, it never stops hitting us. The lesson is that we need to guard a great deal more against the state than a random burglary. Our losses add up to much more once the state gets its claws in us.’

masters of delusion .....

‘To their credit, Israel, AIPAC, the Bush Regime, powerful families (with names like Koch), the numerous multi-millionaires in Congress, powerful lobbyists, think tanks, major corporations, and the 1% of Americans who harbor 38% of the nation's wealth have done a phenomenal job of convincing a majority of the poor and working class that they are fortunate to have the privilege of fighting over the remaining crumbs of the economic pie after the ruling elite gorge themselves.

Despite the 13% of Americans living in poverty, 46 million without health insurance, and approximately 3 million homeless wandering our streets, the gallimaufry ruling the United States according to the Golden Rule (he that hath the gold maketh the rules) has artfully convinced "Main Street" that it "doesn't get any better than this".

The Empire's Neo-Tories boast that capitalism and the free market are "kicking ass" while Communism and Socialism have been relegated to the dustbin of history. (Obviously they have not been paying much attention to South America lately). With "free market" think tanks like Cato Institute (funded by “humanitarian-environmentalists” like Charles Koch) to provide the propaganda (sorry, I meant to say research), there is virtually no end to the "evidence" supporting the "benefits" of government deregulation of businesses and corporations.’

adieu xanadu .....

‘The new globalized capital markets are rapidly bringing both cash and technology to the place that will earn it the highest rate of return. Fifty years ago, that place was America. Now, it is Asia. So, the factories go up in Shanghai...not in Cincinnati. But still, in the Buckeye State, people hardly notice. They go about their business peacefully, even rather tickled not to have the factories. After all, that means they can now move up the socio-economic ladder.

Let the Asians do the sweating. They will do the thinking! The only question is, what will they think about? Most likely, it will be about how they will refinance their house, borrowing from Asian savers, in order to continue buying gadgets and gizmos, manufactured by Asian producers.

As they borrow more and more, these poor Sons of Liberty chain themselves to more and more debt. Not just theirs, but the nation's. Two and a half trillion dollars in debt has been added to the federal government's burden during the George W. Bush years; no president in American history has ever done more damage to the nation's finances. Nor is this the sort of debt that will be paid off by the debtors.

It is debt that will be carried forward, refinanced, and refinanced again...so that generations not yet in the womb will be shackled to millions of dollars worth of it before they even begin to toddle.’

saving david irving .....

’Governments, police services & prison authorities around the world are reportedly "overjoyed" by the launch of a new prescription drug that cures people who are suffering doubts about the veracity of the so-called Jewish Holocaust.

Shares in Israel-based Goy & Goy Pharmaceuticals Incorporated rocketed to 89 US dollars following the long-awaited announcement of a miracle cure for Holocaust Denial Syndrome (HDS).

Soon to be marketed & sold under the name Holozac, the drug works by rapidly closing down the brain's centre of intellectual inquiry. It also blocks the re-uptake of politically incorrect neurotransmitters involved in critical thought processes, making it more difficult to distinguish between truth and lies.

"We're simply overwhelmed by the response of the governments we control in the Zionist West," says Ari Scheister, Marketing Director for Goy & Goy's regional office in Germany. "Particularly so in the European Union where prisons are bursting at the seams with professors, journalists and academics who are all suffering the symptoms of advanced and potentially fatal HDS and other diseases associated with human awareness and a passion for the truth."

Europe's most prominent sufferers, Ernst Zundel, Germar Rudolf and David Irving are said to be in a stable condition following incarceration in high-security prison facilities for People Who Read Books (PWRBs).

"Next to People Who Have the Audacity to Actually Write Books (PWHTATAWBs), the PWRBs, are our most urgent concern," says Guenther Gutmensch, Parliamentary Chairman of the Federal Commission for Confiscating and Burning Books That Make People Think Something Ain't Right (FCFCABBTMPTSAR). "They ask lots of questions and they have an unnatural and very unhealthy obsession with finding out the truth. They simply do not believe a word we say."

Goy & Goy Pharmaceuticals were given the green light by EU health regulators yesterday following extensive double-blind tests involving twenty HDS sufferers. Over a seven-day period, the patients were allowed unrestricted access to a library of detailed and scientifically authenticated studies of the so-called Jewish Holocaust. Ten of the patients were given a placebo, whereas each of the other ten was administered 500 mg of Holozac twelve times a day.

"The results were astonishing," says Dr Ron Haggler, who supervised the trial. "On the first day, both groups quickly found all three volumes of the 1948 'Report of the International Committee of the Red Cross', and 'The Hoax of the Twentieth Century' by Arthur Butz. On the second day, patients were still reading and discussing Germar Rudolf's 'Lectures on the Holocaust' and Juergen Graf's seminal 'The Giant with Feet of Clay'."

"However," continues Haggler, "by Wednesday morning the group treated with Holozac had actually pushed aside Carlo Mattogno's 'Auschwitz: Rumor and Reality' and Norman Finkelstein's 'The Holocaust Industry' in favour of the semi-mythical 'Schindler's List'. At the end of the experiment they were actually fighting over the only available copy of Germany's favourite self-loathing, government-controlled newspaper 'Bild Zeitung'."

There are however side effects associated with Holozac. It's active ingredient Zionine has been shown to cause a pathological hatred of Palestinians and Muslims in general.

"It's not for cartoonists or editor's of Mossad-controlled newspapers," Haggler explained. "We are also cautioning doctors not to prescribe to patients who have a habit of harming either themselves or complete strangers and who then blame that harm on imaginary Arab terrorists."

Haggler's colleagues also stress that giving the drug to Christians who have been artfully persuaded to believe a false, unscriptural, satanic doctrine known as the Zionist Dispensation would be sheer overkill.

"Cyrus Scofield and the Rapture crowd did to American Christians what this drug can do to the Holy Remnant," says an Israeli team coordinator, smiling. "Pastors and Ministers in the United States, who have deliberately confused the pristine Kingdom of God with a stretch of worthless real estate on a spinning ball of dirt, have all but made medical treatment with Holozac unnecessary. A Scofield Reference Bible believer on just one milligram of Zionine would make the Irgun death squad look like the Cub Scouts on a paper chase. Buying stock in Caterpillar Bulldozers would be a smart move. Here’s my broker’s phone number."

Despite such reservations about possible side effects, the European Union has already invested 15 billion euros in what it describes as the most ambitious mental health campaign in modern times.

"We're talking about targeted pre-emptive measures," says an EU spokesman for Mental Hygiene and Correct Thinking. "Holocaust Denial Syndrome begins at home and in the classroom. Does your child ask questions? Does he or she read books? Does he or she get bored with television news programmes and surf the Internet for uncensored history sites and the truth about September 11? If the answer is 'yes' to any one of these painfully necessary questions, then your child should be treated with Holozac immediately before his or her brain has a chance to fully develop its dangerous critical faculties."

Much to the delight of Goy & Goy shareholders, that recommendation was heartily echoed by bought-and-paid-for psychiatric professionals throughout the European Union yesterday.

"We often find ourselves being called out at short notice to help the police deal with highly intelligent people who question the official version of history and who therefore require urgent medication," says first-responder Heidi Stomp. "At the end of the day, all we want is a society of normal, well-adjusted people who watch television, trust the government, don't ask questions, pay their taxes and love Israel."

"Governments are limited in terms of what they can do to keep young men dying in wars for Israel premised upon our cleverly scripted history and other scams," reiterates Ari Scheister. "They can burn books and lie and deceive over and over again, but there's always a hard core of dangerously self-educated and wilfully informed people who persist in asking troublesome questions about our precious and wonderfully unique Holocaust, despite the threat of imprisonment or worse. The only way to deal with this terrible disease and stop the truth from infecting other people is by treating sufferers with our new miracle Holozac."

"To paraphrase one of our cleverest non-attributable disinformation slogans of all time," concludes Scheister, "it may not be the only solution, but it’s sure as hell the final solution.

Pass the Sushi, will ya?"

our missing moral leadership .....

‘A coalition of American churches sharply denounced the US-led war in Iraq on Saturday, accusing Washington of "raining down terror" and apologizing to other nations for "the violence, degradation and poverty our nation has sown."

The statement, issued at the largest gathering of Christian churches in nearly a decade, also warned the United States was pushing the world toward environmental catastrophe with a "culture of consumption" and its refusal to back international accords seeking to battle global warming.

"We lament with special anguish the war in Iraq, launched in deception and violating global norms of justice and human rights," said the statement from representatives of the 34 US members of World Council of Churches. "We mourn all who have died or been injured in this war. We acknowledge with shame abuses carried out in our name."

The World Council of Churches includes more than 350 mainstream Protestant, Anglican and Orthodox churches; the Roman Catholic Church is not a member. The US groups in the WCC include the Episcopal Church, the Presbyterian Church (USA), the United Methodist Church, several Orthodox churches and Baptist denominations, among others.’

‘I was startled to hear Prime Minister John Howard of Australia exclaim in a BBC interview last night that he could not understand why pictures of starving Jewish interns of Bergen Belsen, Dachau, and Aushwitz had been aired, yet again, by an Australian TV station a few days ago.

"I don't understand what news value there is any longer in showing more pictures of starving Jews, tortured in these prison camps."

He added that the airing at this time was all the more disturbing that "people involved in abusing the Jewish concentration camp interns had been prosecuted and some had even gone to jail" and wondered who benefited from the re-airing of photos that had shocked the civilized world.

Mr. Howard was also shocked, but shocked that the photos had been published "unnecessarily", not revolted at the humiliating, disgraceful, vile acts that they depicted.’

"A furious Rollins was informed he was "nominated as a possible threat" for reading Jihad: The Rise Of Militant Islam In Central Asia."

"The incident happened on a flight from Auckland on the recent Big Day Out tour."

Rollins received a letter from the Australian government warning him not to read such books in future. His response was to post the letter on his website and tell the Australian government to "go f***k themselves."

‘Police officers are facing criminal charges over allegations that they tampered with evidence after shooting dead an innocent Brazilian at a London Underground station, The Independent on Sunday can reveal.

Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) officials investigating the killing of 27-year-old Jean Charles de Menezes plan to charge the officers who oversaw the operation with attempting to pervert the course of justice.

The disclosure comes three weeks after reports that undercover police deliberately attempted to blame firearms officers for the shooting.’

the gulag gate opener .....

‘Now, mounting a Hyde Park soapbox to praise Chechens’ valiant struggle or urging Palestinians or Iraqis or afghans to keep resisting foreign occupation will be a crime. Terrorism has erased the term “justice” from our minds.

The litmus test of free speech in letting people you detest say what they choose & defending their right to say things that may be painfully hateful or deeply stupid.

Tony Blair just trampled this basic British right. Britain now joins sleazy, third-world despotisms where ‘The Glorious Leader’ alone determines what one may & may not say.

Stopping the ravings of a handful of loud-mouthed fanatics like the recently jailed British iman, Abu Hamza, is not worth endangering Britain’s sacrosanct freedoms.

History shows such gag laws are soon followed by offences like “insulting the leadership”. Then, by crimes like “encouraging anti-state activities” & that gulag gate opener, being “an enemy of the people.”’

if I was the president .....

‘"If I was the president, I could stop terrorist attacks against the United States in a few days. Permanently.

I would first apologize - very publicly and very sincerely - to all the widows and the orphans, the impoverished and the tortured, and all the many millions of other victims of American imperialism.

I would then announce that America’s global interventions - including the awful bombings - have come to an end.

And I would inform Israel that it is no longer the 51st state of the union but – oddly enough – a foreign country.

I would then reduce the military budget by at least 90% and use the savings to pay reparations to the victims and repair the damage from the many American bombings and invasions. There would be more than enough money.

Do you know what one year of the US military budget is equal to? One year. It’s equal to more than $20,000 per hour for every hour since Jesus Christ was born.

"That’s what I’d do on my first three days in the White House.

On the fourth day, I’d be assassinated."’

the policies of bigots & hypocrites .....

‘And it's not just pro-choice women who seek abortions, and it never has been. Most people would be startled to learn that even today, when battle lines are drawn, 40 percent of women who have abortions in the United States are Evangelical Christian or Catholic. They are your average morality voter, your above-average churchgoer. In all likelihood, they call themselves pro-life. Even though the great wish of pro-lifers is to cast those seeking abortions as irresponsible daters, the actual statistics are more forgiving. The majority of women in the United States (61 percent) having abortions are already moms.

Unable so far to criminalize abortions in the United States, the pro-life movement has taken up a strategy of incrementalism. It has strived to delay abortions, placing hurdle after hurdle in their way. The result has been, even by pro-life definitions, perverse. After all, the net effect hasn't been to stop abortions, but to postpone them until the fetus is more developed and the woman is at greater risk. This strategy is carried out even if it means forcing a woman to have one of those dreaded late-term abortions. Indeed, some of the later-term abortions -- "partial-birth abortions," as the pro-life side labels them - no doubt occur as a result of campaigns waged by the pro-life movement.’
